AMUSE BOUCHE 2015 NAPA VALLEY CULT WINE WINEMAKER HEIDI BARRETT

$225.00

Collectible wine and collectible art come together to create Amuse Bouche Napa Valley Red Blend, a joint wine venture with Legendary Winemaker Heidi Barrett and longtime friend John Schwartz. Recognizing that the cult wine phenomenon has created an almost aspirational class structure among collectors, the partners decided to make this limited edition cult wine… Amuse Bouche Cult Wine aspires to rival its greatest cross-Atlantic counterparts, such as Chateau Petrus and Chateau Le Pin.

As winemaker for several of the hottest cult wines in California, and referred to by TIME magazine as “The Wine Diva of Napa”, Heidi Barrett is always looking for new challenges. Heidi explains, “We have created Amuse Bouche wine, a limited edition, superb Pomerol style wine with the added value of limited edition art that is available to consumers through a variety of channels.” This Pomerol-style Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend is made from some of the best grape sources in the Napa Valley.

Description

2015 AMUSE BOUCHE “CULT WINE” NAPA VALLEY

From Decanter, “Youthful and charismatic winemaker, Heidi Barrett combines her 40 years of winemaking with entrepreneur John Schwartz to deliver Amuse Bouche’s Napa Valley Red Blend. This Pomerolinspired blend is crafted from Rutherford’s hillside vineyards and delivers a story of the source and Heidi’s winemaking skills. The 2015 delivers all the goods, with lifted aromatics of dried violets, bay leaf and thyme, and classic Merlot notes of cranberry with a sassy appeal. It has an acid-driven finish that’s full of stamina.” DECANTER 96 POINTS

From Robert Parker, “Composed of 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Proprietary Red Blend Amuse Bouche is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with gorgeous scents of plum preserves, wild blueberries and blackberry pie with hints of cloves, star anise, Sichuan pepper, lilacs and rose hip tea. The palate is full-bodied, rich and captivating with an alluring frame of velvety tannins and wonderful freshness, finishing very long and very spicy.” WINE ADVOCATE  94+ POINTS
