Edward’s Extended Notes, “The nose on the Macauley Old Vine Zinfandel is the most luscious Blueberry Pie imaginable! As the wine opens it gets deeper with each sip … at first, there’s lovely spices and fresh fruit with lavender, cloves, wild blackberries, and black raspberries. As you sip & swirl, it gets Bigger and Bolder, yet so smooth… On the palate the wine has flavors of crushed blackberry, dark-chocolate covered strawberry, white pepper, a hint of toast, and sweet smores linger. This stunning Zin has silky, fine tannins that coat the mouth and flow into a sultry finish. You can enjoy it now and every person in the room at your event will smile as you pour! The finely integrated acidity will allow the wine to age for another decade or so. My mouth is still watering from last night.
