Powerful and Sophisticated Mountain ZIN – VIP Exclusive!

“Zero Manipulation” is a Peterson Winery philosophy lying at the center of Fred Peterson’s winemaking ideals, aimed at using the most gentle techniques to coax a wine’s innate character. Fred Peterson began producing wine in Dry Creek Valley over 30 years ago, and his son, Jamie, joined him in 2002 as his assistant winemaker before taking over winemaking responsibilities in 2006.

In 1980, Fred cleared and planted the Bradford Mountain Estate Vineyard on top of a peak reaching 1264 feet in elevation, with well-drained red clay soils, cool nights, and sunny days. “Sonoma Sings of an Ideal Year” was the title of Wine Spectator’s 2018 Vintage harvest report for the region; this Zinfandel has a graceful balance of perfectly ripe fruit, spice, and a firm structure from an optimal hang-time on the vine.

2018 PETERSON BRADFORD MOUNTAIN VINEYARD DRY CREEK VALLEY ZINFANDEL

Tasting Notes, “The Peterson Winery 2018 Bradford Mountain Zinfandel begins with intense aromas of fresh berries, bramble, red plum, blackberry, and cloves. On the palate, the wine has concentrated flavors of red cherry, plum, black tea leaves, savory spice, and dried herbs. This wine has soft, polished tannins and an elegant, refined structure displaying a quite sophisticated example of Zinfandel.” WCC 94 POINTS
