2018 KOSTA BROWNE SANTA RITA HILLS PINOT NOIR
2018 was an idyllic vintage from start to finish, and Kosta Browne wrote that it was “one of the finest growing seasons of the past decade.” Simply put, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fans have a lot to be thankful for with these 2018 releases.
JD95 | Jeb Dunnuck Tasting Notes: “The 2018 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills was 90% destemmed and brought up in mostly neutral oak (French and Austrian). Its ruby/purple hue is followed by a beautiful bouquet of ripe strawberry and raspberry fruits interwoven with plenty of spice, flowery incense, and violet nuances. Ethereal, medium-bodied, and elegant on the palate, it has a terrific sense of balance, integrated acidity, and a great finish. It’s not a blockbuster Pinot by any measure yet has complexity, balance, and length. I’m a big fan.” JEB DUNNUCK 95 POINTS
Kosta Browne Russian Santa Rita Hills 2018 Winery Notes: “Bright fruits highlighted by fresh strawberry, red cherry, and cranberry, accentuated by fresh basil and a hint of pot de crème. Focused, linear entry, with a subtle yet excellent tension”
