2018 CIRQ RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY PINOT NOIR Tasting Notes from Jeb Dunnuck, “The 2018 Pinot Noir sports a medium ruby, plum, almost opaque hue as well as a killer bouquet of ripe black raspberries, redcurrants, roasted herbs, loamy earth, and sandalwood. Rich, almost full-bodied, and beautifully textured, with silky, polished tannins, this is another rock star of a Pinot Noir from Michael Browne that will deliver the goods over the coming 7-8 years, probably longer, although I have no idea why you would delay gratification!” JEB DUNNUCK 97 POINTS

2018 CIRQ RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY PINOT NOIR

Notes from CIRQ , Set close to the Pacific to bring moderate temps, yet protected from the coastal influences by majestic mountains, the Russian River Valley has a genre all its own. The moist environment feeds the plants, the soil, the vines – all living things. And its fertile lands are just as unique, formed millions of years ago from volcanic debris washed down from the Sonoma Mountain range. This has profoundly influenced the grapes grown here. Especially vines rooted near California’s giant redwoods with uncommonly moisture-rich grounds. We know if our vines can see those mammoth beauts…we’re going to get some pretty good grapes. And with more soil types than the entire country of France, nearly every vineyard within a few miles produces vastly different flavors. With all its extraordinary bounty, the Russian River Valley is like a winemaker’s treasure. And come springtime, it’s pure Mother Nature magic. We are humbled to be among ancient redwood groves here. Mother Nature brings a mesmerizing bounty of life so unique to this sublime spot.
