Description
All of the fancy writing and engaging superlatives seem to fall a little flat compared to how unbelievably complex and insanely delicious this wine is. Combine that with a stellar 98 Point score and Editors’ Choice award from the Wine Enthusiast, then throw in how Williams Selyem made history in 2007 when Wine Enthusiast awarded their Litton Estate Pinot a perfect 100 Point score. It was the first Pinot Noir in North America to earn 100 points score from any major wine publication. At under sixty bucks, the level of quality leaves me at a loss for words.
Forged from iconic sites including the winery’s Estate, MacGregor and Drake Vineyards, the 2017 delights your senses with vivid and complex red fruits and finely detailed flavors that overlay in cascading layers across your palate. I recommend sitting down before tasting it because the perfume alone will knock you off your feet, as intense cranberry, black cherry, holiday spices and Earl Grey tea intertwine in perfect detail. We bought every bottle we could get after tasting this wine, but we know with the 98 Point score it most certainly will not be enough…
