Winery Notes: “Rich and enticing aromas of blackberry, vanilla bean, baking spices, dark chocolate, and caramel. The palate is overly luscious and giving with notes of dark cherry and blueberry leading to an opulent, velvety finish.”

The 2016 Prisoner Wine Co. Derange Red Blend was held captive for 18 months in French oak barrels, and was created in a big, masculine, unapologetically Californian style. The blend is built around a core Cabernet Sauvignon that’s bolstered by a gang of Petite Sirah, Merlot, Syrah and Zinfandel. If you love deep, full-bodied Napa Valley Reds, this one should not be missed.
