Rafael et Fils’ Estate Vineyard is unique for the complex soils derived from the large Dry Creek alluvial fan, as well as a micro-climate that’s one of the coolest in Napa Valley.  The cooler temps enable the fruit to develop concentrated flavors at ripe sugar levels with refreshing, balancing acidity.  The style is all about balance, with detailed, long and lingering flavors, Marc ages the wine for 23 months in 30% new French oak barrels in order to showcase the purity of fruit.  If you’re looking for a new Cabernet that will impress even the most discerning palate, give this boutique producer a shot, and I’m certain that you’ll be delighted that you did.
