Description
At under $100/btl, Purlieu’s Napa Cabernet is remarkably stunning, and when you consider the list of fruit sources that they produce single-vineyard wines from, which includes; Beckstoffer To-Kalon, Georges III, Missouri Hopper and Sugarloaf, it’s an easy decision to try their Napa Cab which is a cuvée of multiple sites. With a 95 Point score from Robert Parker, we don’t expect this remarkable wine to be available for long.
This phenomenal wine is made by Julien Fayard, who learned his craft at Chateau Lafite Rothschild, and then gained even more valuable experience as Director of Winemaking for Philippe Melka at elite Napa Valley producers like Lail, Gemstone, Hundred Acre, Vineyard 29, and Mastery… He’s undoubtably one of the most talented up-and-coming winemakers in the Valley.
Drawing from several celebrated regions, and some of the best vineyards throughout Napa Valley, each individual site and unique micro-climate elevates the final complex blend. With Purlieu’s rapidly expanding following, solid reputation for excellence along with the very strong reviews, I highly recommend adding some to your cellar.
