After 80 vintages, Beaulieu Vineyards’ iconic Georges de Latour Cabernet is as solid as ever… They’re consistently one the top scoring Napa Valley Cabs, and they invariably model the best qualities of the vintage.  With two high-90’s scores, don’t hesitate to secure your case.

Beaulieu Vineyards is a timeless classic that embodies every trait that makes Rutherford so wondrous. The blocks that go into Georges de Latour were planed in the early 1900’s, with the first vintage of 1936 Georges de Latour Private Reserve released in 1940 in honor of the winery founder’s passing.

Under the guidance of one of the world’s most iconic winemakers, Andre Tchelistcheff, BV built on a reputation of excellence and achievements.  The wines are crafted inside the winery’s new state-of-the-art facility where they combine both time-honored traditions with modern technologies.  I strongly recommend adding some to your cellar.

2016 BV “Georges de Latour” Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, Rutherford

98JS – James Suckling, “The intensity of fruit in the nose is so impressive with blackberries, blackcurrants and lavender. Extremely aromatic. Full-bodied, tight and focused with polished and chewy tannins. Blackberries, currants, walnuts and hazelnuts on the palate. Solid core of fruit and ripe tannins. Classically structured. 97% cabernet sauvignon with petit verdot. Don’t try this until 2022 and onwards..” James Suckling 98 POINTS

97WA – Robert Parker, 2016 BV “Georges de Latour” Tasting Notes From Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate, “… Sporting notions of cedar and cinnamon toast to begin, the nose opens out to beautiful notes of warm cassis, crushed red and black plums and kirsch with floral hints of roses and candied violets. Sparks of crushed rocks and cast iron pan plus a touch of dried herbs emerge with coaxing. Full-bodied, rich, bold and energetic in the mouth, the palate reveals a very firm backbone of ripe, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing very long with beautiful mineral accents….” ROBERT PARKER 97 POINTS
