2016 BUONCRISTIANI O.P.C. NAPA VALLEY BLEND

In winemaking, sometimes less is more, but in this particular scenario, more is clearly more.  Created by three brothers, each with their own set of skills and talents that when combined with their passion for wine, can be an indomitable  force.  And the results speak for themselves… With triple 92 Point scores, the 2016 vintage was sourced from an all-star line-up of vineyards including, Ink Grade, Hyde, Stagecoach, and Hossfeld.  Much of the Cabernet Sauvignon came from Ink Grade, which is one of the highest vineyards on Howell Mountain, one of the top vineyards in Napa, and it shows in the incredible power of this wine.  It’s the diversity in each of these sites that really makes this wine unique, and if you’re searching for a stand-out Napa Valley Red Blend from one of the best vintages in the last decade… This is it.

Emerging from a Blockbuster vintage, which the Wine Spectator rated the 2016 vintage from Napa Valley as the best since 1997 for Napa Cabs.  The overall vintage rating was 98 points .  The 2016 OPC checks in at 44% Cabernet Sauvignon that’s uniquely enhanced with Malbec, Syrah and Merlot.  Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, the wine is dense, concentrated and remarkably detailed.
