Description
A harmonious wine with a persistent elegance. Milla Cala maintains a flawless equilibrium between aroma, body, and complexity… Created by legendary winemaker Patrick Valette, who is responsible for crafting some of the greatest wines in Chile and Bordeaux, paired with Norwegian entrepreneur Alexander Vik. With literally no expense spared on this project, the grapes were meticulously sorted in the most modern grape selection line in Chile before being transported by gravity into individual fermentation tanks.
VIK MILLA CALA 2013 PROPRIETARY RED, CHILE
Winery Notes: “The wine is ruby-red, with a profound brilliance. The 2013 harvest was particularly kind to us, with plenty of balance in temperature and an elongated maturation process bringing out the best qualities in our grapes. The elegant tannins and incredible smooth mouth feel are direct byproducts of this fantastic year. The wine has incredibly vibrant red fruit aromas (strawberry and raspberry) that harmonize perfectly with those of the barrel. Milla Cala is a subtle wine; one that balances its freshness with age. The attack is very fresh, silky-smooth with elegant round tannins and a long finish. It is friendly in the mouth; at the same time round and satisfying, easily approachable with beautiful structure, yet has a complexity waiting to be explored. It is a harmonious wine with a persistent elegance. A wine that demonstrates equilibrium between aroma, body, and complexity, it is the perfect companion to any meal with its graceful manner complimenting and pleasing all palates and keeping the conversation flowing.”
